At our site in Deurne, we have a modern machine park with various machining options, such as grinding, cutting and lasering. These operations are essential for the tooling and machining industry.
By machining carbide to micron accuracy according to drawing, we are able to provide custom work that meets high technical requirements.
Carbide grades and applications
There are several types of carbide, which differ in composition and properties. The most common type is tungsten carbide (WC), which is often combined with cobalt (Co) as a binder. This combination offers excellent hardness and wear resistance. There are also cermets composed of titanium carbide and nickel, which are particularly suitable for high temperatures. There are also fine-grained carbides, which are particularly stable due to very small hard material particles and are suitable for precision applications.
